About the MOVIE : Samsara
Samsara is a wordless magnificent "guided meditation" as the makers Mark Magidson and Ron Fricke call it. Shot in 25 different countries over five years in 70 mm format, it consists of very strong imagery and offers a great visual experience to the audience.
How I approached it
I watched Samsara and felt compelled to create something as immersive as the film itself. After sketching a few concepts, I landed on a 360° illustrated poster that would let viewers step inside the world of the movie. Using Photoshop's 360° illustration tool, I created the artwork and rendered it through a third-party 360° platform. With help from my brother (Pannaga Bhat) assembling a Google Cardboard, I was able to test it out. Seeing the poster come to life in VR was pretty surreal, it genuinely made me want to rewatch the entire film.
